Kanuhura combines an elegant informal style with quality accommodation and excellent service. Situated on its own island in the Northern atolls, a 35 minute seaplane ride from Male, the resort provides a unique, get away from it all experience. At 1km long the island is one of the larger in The Maldives, with expansive, perfect white sand beaches and a large, sheltered lagoon.
Having adopted the Maldivian architectural style with the clever use of natural materials, there has been created a general overall effect which blends harmoniously with its tropical setting. Both the Beach and Water Villas are luxuriously well-appointed and offer every conceivable luxury. It is not simply a breathtakingly beautiful hideaway. It is very much a resort and offers a feast of sporting and leisure facilities, including the state-of-the-art Veyoge Spa. Evenings can be quiet or lively, according to your choice.

The accommodation is superb – the 95 spacious rooms are cleverly constructed of local materials, with plenty of cool stone, wood and thatched roofs, yet have all the latest mod-cons including plasma screens, DVD’s and CD players. There is a superb free form freshwater swimming pool, games room, shops, laundry service and children’s club.
Beach Villa : Bedroom with four poster bed, air conditioning, tea/coffee maker, mini bar, safe, television, VCD player, hairdryer, smoke detector, telephone and email connection. Outdoor bath and shower. WC. Private balcony .

For dinner there is a choice of three different restaurants: the Veli Café, The Olive Tree serving Mediterranean dishes or the Thin Rah restaurant, which offers different themes each evening featuring open cooking stations.
There is a superb range of activities including a Spa, gym, aerobics, extensive watersports and dive centre, as well as frequent boat trips to other deserted islands.
Children : Children are very welcome all year round. One child under 12 is free when sharing with 2 adults in a beach or water villa. There is an excellent children’s club for children under 12. Babysitting service by trained nannies (minimum age 4 months).
# Tranfers : 35 minutes by seaplane. (NB luggage strictly 20kgs plus 5kgs hand luggage). Resort time is one hour ahead of official Maldives time.
